Die of Death synergies — named Ability pairs

Die of Death synergies are named upgrades that activate when two specific Abilities appear on the same civilian Deck you pick from three random offers. Synergies replace one of the base skills with a combo kit — they do not stack across teammates.

Searchers want Loveshot, CarePad, and SweetTooth explanations, plus honest notes on weak pairs like Noisemaker (Bugle + Taunt, commonly D-tier). This hub covers rules, tables, and draft priority verified July 18, 2026 after Fashionably Late.

Start with abilities for all 13 skills, or civilians for Deck pick rules.

How synergies work in Die of Death

Each round, civilians see three Deck rows. Each row lists two Abilities. You choose one row — those two slots are your entire kit for the match. If that row contains a verified pair, the synergy proc replaces the appropriate base Ability.

Example: Revolver + Taunt on the same row upgrades Revolver into **Loveshot. Revolver on row A and Taunt on row B does not** combine — you only get one row.

Synergy vs random pairings

Not every strong duo is a named synergy. Dash + Cloak is powerful but has no special name — still worth drafting.

Named synergies usually change ability behavior (multi-shot Revolver, pad heal aura, mega snack heal). Read entity pages for numbers.

Fashionably Late changes

July 2026 Fashionably Late reworked many Abilities and added Bugle / Pie. Some old combo videos are outdated — cross-check updates and HUD tooltips.

Known Die of Death synergies

Three synergies are verified on the live roster. More may appear in future patches — watch Discord announcements.

Loveshot — Revolver + Taunt

Loveshot turns a ranged stun user into peel + sustain. Taunt ragdolls without stun immunity; Loveshot shots heal ~21 HP if all pulses connect. Community tier bands place Loveshot A–S when aim is consistent.

Ideal vs melee Killers on choke maps. Weak on open Baseplate without cover.

CarePad — Caretaker + BonusPad

CarePad helps pub squads stack for Caretaker cone heals. Pad heals ~1 HP/s while standing; Killer can break the pad. BonusPad alone fell post-update — the synergy value is grouping, not raw pad DPS.

SweetTooth — Pie + Hotdog

SweetTooth replaces Hotdog when Pie shares the Deck. Community showcases cite ~30 HP burst heal with a −7 max HP tradeoff — stronger single-button sustain than base Hotdog for selfish survival.

Draft SweetTooth when you must clutch LMS without a Caretaker — not as your lobby's only sustain. Pair with mobility on pub teams while another player runs CarePad or Loveshot.

Comparing the three P0 synergies

CarePad — team anchor, objective holds, pub grouping. Loveshot — peel + ranged heal bursts, choke maps. SweetTooth — selfish clutch, LMS specialists. Ideal lobby runs one of each when Deck RNG allows.

Weak synergies — Noisemaker (Bugle + Taunt)

Not every named combo is good. Noisemaker is the Bugle + Taunt synergy — widely rated D-tier in post–Fashionably Late community rankings.

Noisemaker forces seven mini-games before finishing the cast, granting up to ~35% damage reduction to nearby allies — but you cannot use it safely on the chased player (Killer swaps to you) or far away (allies cannot use the buff). You also do not receive the reduction yourself, unlike base Bugle self cooldown buff.

For die of death synergy searches, treat Noisemaker as a cautionary example: named proc does not mean meta. Prefer Loveshot, CarePad, or SweetTooth when those rows appear.

Synergy draft strategy

Pub Die of Death lobbies win when one player forces CarePad, one forces Loveshot, and others bring mobility or stun. Die of death synergy drafting is lobby math — not personal comfort picks.

Scan all three Deck rows before the timer locks. If two rows contain partial pieces (Revolver alone, Taunt alone), only the row with both activates Loveshot. Same rule for Caretaker + BonusPad and Pie + Hotdog.

  • Do01Read all three Deck rows before picking
  • Do02Synergies require both skills on the same row
  • Do03Call your synergy in voice so team stacks
  • Do04Skip Noisemaker unless meme queue
  • Do05Re-verify after updates

Priority order (general)

1. CarePad if your team lacks healers. 2. Loveshot if you have aim and chokes. 3. SweetTooth for selfish LMS survival. 4. Mobility (Dash, Cloak) if no synergy rows appear.

Check abilities tier list for solo Ability value when no synergy procs.

Stacking synergies with friends

Queue in Discord and assign roles before matchmaking — "A takes CarePad, B takes Loveshot, C takes stun." Deck RNG still randomizes, but callouts prevent two players forcing the same synergy.

Ideal tri-stack: CarePad healer, Loveshot peel, Banana Peel or Block zone control — covers heal, ranged peel, and choke traps.

Double Trouble and Evil Scary

Double Trouble needs spread — double CarePad stacks die to AoE. **Evil Scary still rewards Loveshot** peel if you respect horror intensity settings from controls.

In Double Trouble, split synergies across players so one Killer angle always faces a named combo while the other chases mobility.
