Die of Death civilians — survivors without fixed classes

Die of Death civilians (also searched as die of death civilian or characters) are the eight-player survivor side in each round. There are no fixed classes — every match you draft two Abilities from one of three random Decks, then cooperate to outlast the Killer for ~3–4 minutes.

Die of Death is a Roblox asymmetrical survival horror experience from Saucefy10 and Die of Deathians. One Killer hunts up to eight Civilians who draft three random Decks, pick two Abilities, and survive ~3–4 minute rounds while Evilness decides the next Killer.

This page explains Deck RNG, role flexibility, synergy drafting, and how civilians differ from the five killers with fixed four-kit loadouts. Verified July 18, 2026.

Three Decks, two abilities each

Before the round timer ends, the game presents three Deck options. Each Deck shows two Abilities — your entire kit if you pick that row. Deck contents are randomized every round, so "luck" matters, but skilled players still win with B-tier tools via positioning and voice.

Colored Deck UI indicates rarity or grouping — read the beginner guide for first-match flow and the controls page for HUD slots after you lock a pick.

Deck offerThree rows, two Abilities each
Pick one rowYou receive exactly two skills for the match
Synergy checkNamed pairs must both be on your chosen row
Round playSurvive, stun, heal, complete objectives until timer or eliminations

No rerolls — commit to the best row

You cannot mix Ability A from row 1 with Ability B from row 2. Scan all three rows for **Loveshot (Revolver + Taunt), CarePad (Caretaker + BonusPad), or SweetTooth (Pie + Hotdog**) before you click.

If no synergy appears, prioritize S-tier solo tools on the abilities tier listDash, Cloak, Caretaker, Block — based on map vote and Killer.

All 13 possible skills

Live pool includes Dash · Cloak · Revolver · Taunt · Caretaker · Block · Adrenaline · Banana Peel · BonusPad · Hotdog · Punch · Bugle · Pie after Fashionably Late added Bugle and Pie. Killers always use their own four abilities — civilians never copy Killer kits.

Teamplay without classes

Because roles are random, Die of Death civilians communicate intent instead of picking "healer main" in a menu. Typical emergent roles:

Voice and quick comms

Call "heal on me", "Taunt ready", or "Revolver at choke" — pub squads win when one player shotcalls. Join Discord LFG for consistent trios.

Avoid stacking three mobility picks with zero stun — Pursuer free wins those lobbies.

Synergy-aware drafting

Weak combo alert: Noisemaker (Bugle + Taunt) is commonly D-tier — long channel, poor damage reduction payoff. Skip unless meme queue.

Civilian survival loop

Round goal: stay alive until the timer resolves or the Killer runs out of time to down everyone. You can play selfish or support — both are valid, but support stacks win more in Default pub lobbies.

Stun chains and immunity

Many abilities stun the Killer and trigger stun immunity afterward. Taunt and Banana Peel use ragdolls / trips instead — chain them before or after hard stuns for longer lockdown.

Punch stats from community footage: 25 damage, 3s stun, 0.75s wind-up, 40s CD — C-tier but clutch in corners.

Evilness and Kind Mode

Aggressive civilian play raises Evilness — the stat that picks the next Killer. Read the evilness guide if you want more or less Killer queue time. Kind Mode disables rotation for casual lobbies.

Maps and modes

Vote maps that match your Draft — chokes for traps, open space for Loveshot healing lines. Double Trouble and **Evil Scary** change pressure — see the gamemodes hub.

Killer-specific civilian reads

Die of Death civilian win rates swing by which Killer queues. Melee rushdown (Pursuer, Harken) rewards Punch, Block, and Dash peel. Artful wants wall-break Revolver and Banana Peel on alt vaults. Badware needs PC destruction callouts — assign one saboteur per triangle.

Killdroid is the ranged check: Taunt during Deploy, shoot Killbots after spawn immunity, and never stack on BonusPad in open Baseplate sightlines. Gunslinger doubles your gun damage but removes stuns — draft Revolver and Punch only when the lobby banner confirms the mode.

Civilians vs characters search intent

Google and YouTube mix die of death civilian with die of death characters — on this wiki both refer to the survivor side, not Killer roster entries like Pursuer or Artful.

Community memes (Miso, Devesto skins, etc.) appear in cosmetic searches — Phase 1 wiki focuses on gameplay: Deck picks, abilities, and synergies. Killer "characters" live on the killers hub.

Lobby "characters" before round start

Pre-round lobby lets you walk customization areas — pencil icon credits, spectator goggles, shopping cart Points shop. None of that replaces in-round Deck RNG: when the timer hits, you still pick one of three Ability rows.

Colored Deck UI is not a class picker — it is three random pairs. Treat color as presentation, not role lock.

Survivor objectives beyond hiding

Winning as Die of Death civilians means more than crouching in grass. Interact with map objectives where present, rescue chased allies with stun chains, and deny Killer tempo by forcing Evilness rotations you can handle.

Selfish LMS players exist — but teams with one healer and one peel almost always outlive eight solo runners on tier list meta.
