Deck picks, civilian survival, and Evilness basics for new Roblox players.

Die of Death guide for new players

1 Killer vs up to 8 Civilians — asymmetrical horror parody on Roblox with random Deck abilities and Evilness rotation. Die of Death is a Roblox asymmetrical survival horror experience from Saucefy10 and Die of Deathians. One Killer hunts up to eight Civilians who draft three random Decks, pick two Abilities, and survive ~3–4 minute rounds while Evilness decides the next Killer.

This Die of Death guide walks you from lobby to first-round survival — the route most players search when they ask how to play Die of Death on Roblox. One Killer hunts up to eight Civilians; civilians draft three random Decks, pick two Abilities from one Deck, then survive a 3–4 minute round while Evilness decides who hunts next.

Verified July 18, 2026 after the Fashionably Late update. Pair this Die of Death guide with controls for binds, evilness guide for rotation, and abilities hub once you understand the Deck pick.

Die of Death core loop

Every Die of Death round is a short asymmetric chase. Civilians win by outlasting the timer or completing objectives; the Killer wins by eliminating the squad. Random Decks mean no two civilian rounds play the same — that chaos is the point of this die of death guide.

Before your first Die of Death round

The lobby is more than a queue. Spend thirty seconds here and you avoid half the new-player confusion.

Shop and Points

Open the shopping cart icon to spend Points on Killers and skins. Pursuer is free; Badware (500), Artful (700), Harken (880), and Killdroid (1000) unlock in order — 3080 Points for the full roster. Details on how to unlock killers.

Tap the book icon on a Killer card to preview their four fixed abilities before you buy. Skins are cosmetic; roster unlocks use Points only — no Robux required for Killers.

Spectate and credits

Goggles enter spectator mode inside a live match — useful for learning map loops before you queue. Watch ability cooldowns and chase lines on maps you have not played yet.

The pencil icon lists Saucefy10 and contributors. The experience also shows content warnings before you join — read them if flashing horror bothers you; enable Epilepsy Mode on controls for Evil Scary lobbies.

Player list and Discord

The top player list shows lobby Points, Evilness opportunity, and current roles. Click a row to inspect play time and which Killer they queued.

Patch alerts and LFG land on the official Discord at discord.gg/dieofdeath — not fake code sites. Die of Death has no redeem codes; farm Points instead via codes status.

Your first Die of Death round

Civilians and Killers share the same movement basics — see controls — but objectives diverge immediately after the prep timer.

  • Do01Read all three Decks before the prep timer ends.
  • Do02Call out your two Abilities to squadmates in voice or chat.
  • Do03Stun only when escape route is clear — whiffed abilities punish hard.
  • Do04New to hunt? Queue Pursuer free before buying Artful or Harken.

Civilian survival

After spawn you get a short countdown, then three Deck offers. Each Deck lists two Abilities — commit to one Deck before the Killer is unleashed. Your job: survive, help teammates when safe, and stun the Killer when abilities connect in range. This is the core loop every die of death guide should teach first.

Stuns buy escape windows. Missing a Punch or Revolver shot often leaves end-lag — only swing when you are confident. Play selfish early if you are new; feeding the Killer free downs raises your Evilness anyway.

Killer hunt

Killers spawn with four fixed abilities — no Deck RNG. Your only goal: eliminate every Civilian before the round resolves. Pursuer is the free default; paid Killers add unique pressure on the killers tier list.

Special rounds (every few lobbies) swap rules — Double Trouble doubles Killers, Gunslinger shifts to ranged civilian tools. Scan gamemodes when the host picks a modifier.

Die of Death Deck selection

Deck luck matters, but smart picks beat pure RNG. Prioritize pairs that synergize and cover mobility plus utility.

SynergyAbilitiesWhy pick
CarePadCaretaker + BonusPadNamed bonus when both skills draft together
LoveshotRevolver + TauntNamed bonus when both skills draft together
SweetToothPie + HotdogNamed bonus when both skills draft together

High-value solo tools

Dash and Cloak cover distance when the Killer commits. Block and Punch trade space for stun windows. Revolver plus Taunt forms Loveshot — one of the strongest offensive pairs in most lobbies.

Fashionably Late added Bugle and Pie — test them in Default mode before ranked-style Evil Scary queues. Full skill notes live on the abilities tier list.

When the Decks look weak

All three offers can roll low-tier combos — it happens. Pick the Deck with at least one mobility or stun tool rather than double meme picks. BonusPad plus Caretaker still forms CarePad healing even on "bad" RNG.

Avoid panic-locking the first card. Compare cooldown roles: one escape, one team tool beats two slow damage buttons against Harken noise pressure or Artful wall traps.

Die of Death Evilness basics

After each round, Evilness scores decide who becomes the next Killer. Aggressive civilian play — stunning, chasing, surviving long — pushes your meter up. High Evilness players rotate into Killer slots unless the lobby disables rotation.

Enable Kind Mode in lobby settings to turn Evilness off for casual nights — perfect when you only want civilian practice. Full math and farm routes sit on the evilness guide; toggle location mirrors controls accessibility settings.
